Home Based Businesses With Networking

Popularity of marketing methods for the Internet come and go but something that remains a much overlooked way to grow legitimate home based businesses and create ways to make extra money, is networking.

The following two points are often overlooked in networking. Make sure you maximize the earning potential of your business by doing this.

1. Most online marketers have a blog but not everybody utilizes its full potential. Inviting your readers to comment on your posts is a great way to network with visitors.

Maybe you've gotten into the habit of commenting on other people's blogs and are already asking them to comment on your posts. So when people comment on your blog, just send them a thank you note by email.

They don't have to, but they are taking the time to post comments on your blog, which is like a vote of confidence. So the least you can do is to thank them. If you look at it from a networking viewpoint, you will be blown away by the results.

As Internet marketers we tend to do business behind our email accounts and websites. This makes it more difficult to build personal relationships but it is possible and will no doubt be greatly appreciated by customers or affiliates joining legitimate home based businesses.

You can not only provide valuable benefits to your customers through networking, but also build lifelong business relationships to improve ways to make extra money. A simple thing like sending an email after a blog post, will count a lot towards strengthening such relationships.

2. We all know that it takes a lot of work to run an Internet business and networking can easily be forgotten in the everyday rat race. But I would encourage you to take the time to reply daily to emails you receive.

It is not only the decent thing to do, but someone in your down line may have a serious question regarding your business and you will certainly miss out on an opportunity to build a relationship with them if you don't reply.

I'm not talking about those e-mails that fill up your inbox with all kinds of wonderful offers, but the serious, sincere ones.

You may already have a frequently asked questions section on your site, but if your visitors still have questions, make sure you take the time to answer it truthfully.

These two points are often overlooked when creating ways to make extra money. You want to make use of every possible method to ensure the success of your legitimate home based business.

Home Schooling

It was good enough for Che Guevera, for Abraham Lincoln, and to a certain extent Queen Elizabeth II. In the UK at least, home schooling is popular (whereas in some Western countries it is illegal), and home study in students enrolling on further education courses is growing also alongside the growth of online education. So what are the pros and cons of home schooling?

One of the most typical criticisms of home schooling - and to a certain extent home study - is the limited socialization with a peer group. This can restrict the individual from influence by differing gender, racial, class, and cultural backgrounds and may have the implication of leading the student to have a one-sided point of view (as according to Rob Reich in The Civic Perils of Homeschooling).

In opposition to this however, others argue that learning environments with many other students may not be the most worthwhile for all. Despite not being the most popular reason for home schooling to be undertaken instead of traditional school-based learning, in a 2003 US poll 30 per cent felt that school was a 'poor learning environment'.

In line with the growth of home study in higher education, home schooling in the US has found a growth in acceptance over the last few decades. In 1985 Gallup polled the attitude of American voters towards homeschooling and 73 per cent were opposed, but by 2001 this figure had dropped to 54 per cent. However, home schooling is not without its controversies as many non-state school systems arguably are. In Washington DC, a mother was charged with murdering her four children after withdrawing them from school education, and many blamed the fact that her being allowed to take them out of school had led to the lack of detection. However, it must be acknowledged that such negative press has been attributed to traditional schools in the past also.

As with home study in higher education, as well as home schooling in children, logistical reasons such as convenience and lack of transport can have a major part to play. Quite simply, education at home cuts all travel costs that may be incurred by driving or travelling on public transport for lectures, seminars or lessons. If the student lives a great distance away also, the journey may well take too long or prove inconvenient. 23,000 of those asked in the 2003 poll cited this as their reason for home schooling.

There are many more reasons for and against education at home. However, the fact remains that certain students achieve better in certain environments at all levels of education, and the wellbeing and happiness of the individual must be of the utmost importance.

Reducing School Violence

Violence seems to be on the rise among young people in school. Fighting, attacks and shooting are becoming more and more common all the time. Parents and communities need to take the steps to improve family and school relationships in order to create a happy, healthy environment for students that will result in less violence and more success for students everywhere. Only when parents, teachers, religious and community leaders work together will there be a dramatic reduction in harmful school violence.

It is important to note that the most common reason for school violence is low self-esteem. Students who perpetrate school violence tend to have low self-esteem. Often these young people have been the victims of verbal abuse throughout their childhood at home, at school or both. All parents, teachers and students need to learn the importance of treating other people with respect. As human beings we all have our differences and we don't always "like" everyone, but there is no excuse for verbal abuse or "put downs", not even under the guise of "joking around". Schools that implement a zero tolerance policy on "teasing" have a tendency to report far fewer incidences of school violence than those where this behavior is ignored or even encouraged.

It is important for educators to be on the lookout for symptoms that a child is being verbally or physically abused at home and file the proper reports. All children need proper love and nurturing in their homes to become responsible productive adults. Teachers should also be aware that a kind word from them can make all the difference to a child suffering from abuse or neglect. Often the most difficult children to deal with need the most approval and support. Telling a child you are proud of them can help to encourage more positive behavior and change the path of a person's life. You never know when you will be the one person, the only person, who ever gave them a reason to believe in themselves and try.

School violence has tragic consequences for everyone involved whether it is abusive behaviors at school that make people feel unsafe and destroys their self-esteem or shootings that take the lives of innocent people and shake up entire communities and even the whole country. School violence is something that affects everyone whether they are in school, have children or grandchildren in school, or not. The world does not feel like a safe place to be when children are being killed in school.

Community and religious leaders can also be on the lookout for destructive behaviors at a young age. They can help provide parenting classes and resources to help parents deal with stress and provide a stable environment for children. They can also encourage the zero tolerance policy in schools. Neighbors can also shoulder some of the responsibility. People need to stop minding their own business and report suspected child abuse before it is too late. Ending school violence should be a priority for everyone and only when everyone works together will this problem be solved.

Mesothelioma in Indonesia

Mesothelioma is one form of lung malignant cancer related with exposure of asbestos. Mesothelium become the place of this malignant cell. The commonest site is pleura, but there are some incidence that mesothelioma occurs in peritoneum, and pericardium. The victims of this disease are mostly workers with exposure of asbestos particles. The family, can be the victim of this disease too.

There are reports about the risk of the family member to develop this disease by washing the clothes of the 'asbestos or fiber' worker, or by inhaling some dust brought by the worker in their home. There isn't any association of the disease with smoking. But in some textbook, it's told that for worker or person who can't stop their smoking habit, it's better not to apply or get close with 'asbestos or fiber' related work. It may because smoker's lung which get asbestos exposure has worse prognosis than nonsmoker lung. The incidence of mesothelioma in Indonesia hasn't been known for sure. But in some community in Indonesia, this mesothelioma issue has become great discussion. The latest news about this issue came from NAD (Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam). It's told in several Indonesian newspaper that in December 2008, People in NAD burned some houses provided by Yayasan Bakrie Grup through Badan Rehabilitasi dan Rekonstruksi (BRR) for Deah Raya citizen, and there're some Indonesian NGO reported this case to International Human Right Organization.

The mesothelioma or asbestosis issue become more than health issue for people in the world. It become more political, economic, and law issue. Many organization, worker party, lawyers fight against the asbestos manufacturers. The liability resulting from the sheer number of lawsuits and people affected has reached billions of dollars. The amounts and method of allocating compensation have been the source of many court cases. But until today the US Congress has failed to enact significant asbestos reforms.

In Indonesia, many people don't know about this disease. We still use asbestos materials to build houses. Even in some hospitals. Many doctors diagnose 'malignant lung cancer' but only few that diagnose the possible cause of the cancer. And in this country, autopsy is not a common thing to state the diagnosis or someone's causes of death. So the number of the mesothelioma victims in Indonesia, is still not well known
